Association Mimouna and the United Nations Informationcenter in Rabat organized a virtual conference to commemorate the International Holocaust remembrance day.
The event gathered a group of experts in the field such as Dr. Jamae Baida, Ms. Carole Nuriel, Dr. Haim Saadoun and Ms. Claudia Zagury, who spoke about Moroccan Jews under the Vichy regime, Tangier as a haven for European Jews andthe role of late Sultan Mohamed V in saving Moroccan Jewry.
The event was attended a group of national and international figures suchas : H.E. Andre Azoulay, Senior Advisor to H.M king mohamed VI, Mr. David Greene, The U.S. chargé d'affaires in Morocco, Mr. David Govrin, the Israeli chargé d'affaires in Morocco as well as representatives of a group of American, Canadian and European organisations.
