Toronto Judeo–Moroccan Week

Aspart of Jewish Moroccan Week in Toronto, Association Mimouna was proud topresent two exhibitions that brought Morocco’s Jewish heritage to the heart ofthe diaspora. The first featured Judaica objects crafted by Muslim artisans, aliving symbol of coexistence. The second was a photo exhibition of the synagogues of Morocco, preserving memory through images and architecture. This project was not built on partnerships alone, it was built on friendship. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Ms. Deborah Koenigsberger Gutierrez, Judaica designer and head of the Tribeca Synagogue, and Ms. Tessy Schlosser, Director General of the Centro de Documentación e Investigación Judío de México (CDIJUM). Their passion, dedication, and belief in this work made it possible. We also extend our thanks to the Moroccan Jewish Community in Toronto (CJMT) and the Sephardic Kehila Center for opening their doors and giving this story astage.
