The Moroccan Diaspora in Toronto: A Living Story of Memory and Coexistence

Association Mimouna had the honor of giving a presentation at the Petah Tikva Anshe Castilla Congregation in Toronto, Ontario’s first Sephardic synagogue, often referred to as the synagogue of the people of Tangiers. The presentation centered on strengthening the ties between Moroccan Jews and their homeland, highlighting shared memory, heritage, and identity. What made the evening especially meaningful was the presence of former presidents of the Muslim Moroccan community in Toronto, a living example that coexistence is not just part of Morocco’s past, but an active reality beyond its borders.
