"The Guards of Memory," directed by Saïd Belli and produced by Association Mimouna, made a profound impact at the national festival of documentaries in Tangier. This poignant film delves into the rich history of the Jewish community in Fez, showcasing their enduring memories and deep-rooted attachment to Morocco. Its inclusion in the festival offered a captivating glimpse into the cultural mosaic of the nation, celebrating the diverse heritage that has shaped Morocco's identity. The movie's exploration of the Jewish community's history, through the eyes of its last Rabbi; Rabbi Abraham Sebbag ZT"L, and their lasting bond with the country resonated with audiences, further emphasizing the importance of preserving cultural memories.
Special thanks goes to the director of the movie, the shooting team Wonder Bros Pictures and the Moroccan Jewish community of Fez.
