Because young people are at the heart of our mission, Muslim Moroccan youth who need to learn about Moroccan Jewish heritage, and Jewish Moroccan youth who deserve to reconnect with their roots, Association Mimouna held a special meeting with a group of students from the Associated Hebrew Schools in Toronto, where nearly a quarter of the students are of Moroccan origin. The conversation focused on Morocco’s history of shared life between Muslims and Jews, the values of coexistence that shaped it, and the importance of strengthening their connection to Morocco, not as a distant homeland, but as part of their identity.
