Mimouna Celebration Engages Rabat Youth in Heritage Learning

Rebuilding our homes, a project in partnership with Association Mimouna, American Sephardi Federation and the USAID - US Agency for International Development and in partnership with Forumrabat and the regional academy of Rabat-Sale, organised the Mimouna celebration to educate the youth of Rabat on this Moroccan holiday that symbolizes the Jewish-Muslim cohabitation.

This activity created an opportunity to the students of four Moroccan secondary schools to learn about the Jewish Moroccan culture, have discussions with the members of the Jewish Moroccan community and participate in acompetition of photography and videography that aims at safeguarding the Jewish Moroccan heritage of the Mellah.
