As part of their master curriculum, the students of the Jewish Moroccan tourism master program have had a field training to discover the history of the most important Jewish sites of Tangier. The students got reconnected with their Jewish Moroccan identity through meeting and learning from Moroccan experts who are working effortlessly to safeguard Morocco’s Jewish heritage, one of the major objectives of the Dakira project which is funded by USAID and implemented by Association Mimouna.

Mimouna is a Moroccan association that strives to preserve and promote the history of Morocco’s ancient Jewish community. Founded in 2007, Mimouna seeks to educate the Moroccan people about the Jewish culture and encourage harmony between Jews and Muslims.
