At the Tangier American Legation institute for Moroccan studies, Mimouna Association organized a conference to speak about the situation of Morocco during the Vichy occupation as well as the Ashkenazi wartime refugees and the efforts made by the local community to help them.
On the other hand, the event shed the light on the tensions felt by the Jewish community before operation Torch in 1942 and the role of HM Mohamed V in pushing against Anti-Jewish measures
