As part of the DAKIRA initiative, Mimouna Association is working with a group of young people from various regions of Morocco to create engaging and interactive digital maps of places with historical and cultural significance in order to ensure that Moroccan heritage is preserved for future generations. For the purpose of preserving, safeguarding, and promoting intangible cultural heritage, the crew is using cameras and recorders to take photos and movies of the historical and religious Jewish places in various Mellahs of Morocco.
Every event we organize, every food basket we deliver, and every dialogue circle we lead is made possible by engaged allies. From student volunteers to global donors, a vibrant community stands behind Mimouna’s mission.

Mimouna is a Moroccan association that strives to preserve and promote the history of Morocco’s ancient Jewish community. Founded in 2007, Mimouna seeks to educate the Moroccan people about the Jewish culture and encourage harmony between Jews and Muslims.
