Cooking Workshop Preserves Moroccan Jewish Culinary Traditions

Following with the 1st Cooking Workshop in Fez, Rebuilding our homes held another workshop for the women of the Mellah of Essaouira, the women learnt how to cook several Traditional Moroccan Jewish dishes as a way of preserving the Moroccan Jewish traditions and the shared Moroccan heritage. The training was led by Ms. Titi Halioua, a female chef from Marrakech, who taught the ladies how to cook traditional Moroccan Jewish dishes. The participants, who were mainly women as well, interacted positively with the chef and discussed several other dishes along with Moroccan Jewish particularities when it comes to cooking.
