Celebrating a decade of history and heritage inPraia, alongside Mr. Jorge Santos, Cape Verde's Minister for Communities,Association Mimouna participated in marking a momentous occasion - the 10 th anniversary of the Jewish cemetery's restoration. The ceremony was a heartfelt tribute, unveiling plaques to commemorate, including a special one for His Majesty King Mohammed VI. The day continued with an insightful conference inpartnership with the Cape Verdean National Library, shedding light on the Moroccan Jewish community's rich legacy in Cape Verde. A highlight was hearing from Mr. Elmehdi Boudra, the President and Founder of the Association Mimouna,who spoke on the critical role of civil society in safeguarding Jewish heritage across Africa. Thanks to The Cape Verde Jewish Heritage Project, this gathering underscored our shared commitment to remembering the Moroccan Jews' profound contributions to Cape Verde.
